No complicated recipe for the best baked chicken!
Season and prepare as normal. Put in covered pot. Sun cooking times are very close to conventional ovens. We always plan on a little extra time as we haven't quite conquered this skill.
This natural and free style of cooking does not need as much water as you would normally add in a conventional oven. We have found no water is necessary for chicken and you will have an abundant amount of natural broth to make gravy.

Even on a partly cloudy day we were able to cook a 5-1/2 pound hen in 3-1/2 hours.
We began cooking at about 9:30 am when the Sun is not at it's brightest.
Probably if the clouds weren't a factor this would have cooked in 2 to 3 hours.
