Dehydrating Shrimp

People ask why bother dehydrating shrimp?
Answer: It's great, lightweight and is a wonderful addition to any meal when rehydrated.

When dehydrating your shrimp decide how you are going to use it. If it is for long term storage you want it to be much drier. If you plan on using it on a camping or hiking trip it can be dehydrated to a leathery consistency, placed in a sealed bag and stored in the freezer.

When dehydrating shrimp,
crab or lobster be sure it is pre-cooked. The exception to this is imitation lobster, crab or shrimp.
